EDUCATION:

APh.D. student in the Institute
of Earth Sci., Hebrew U., Jerusalem. My thesis focuses on the environmental
changes in the desert border during the Late Pleistocene-Holocene, as reflected
from the geological record of the Nizanna-Lavan area. The study reconstruction
the hydrological and tectonic activities during this period.

1986-1991- MSc.- Dep. Geology & Mineralogy, Ben-Gurion U. My thesis
deals with the understanding of the evolution of Makhtesh Ramon (Ramon
erosional Cirque) including its drainage patterns and the tectonic changes.

a.
A geological-geomorphological mapping of the NW Negev (Israel) and its
seismic potential for a newNuclear
Power Station(an under going
project).
b.
Geo-technical surveyfor the LPG
pipeline design and examination ofalternatives
routs between Ashqelon and Rishon LeZion (ShafDan) (an under going project).
c.
Geotechnical surveys for a new neighborhoods on different lithologies and
topographies all over the country. Partly with emphasizing on problems
of land slides and earthquakes, Such as: Har Yona (Nazareth), Tiberia,Carmel,
Modiin, Bet-Shemesh area, Dimona, Elat (areas along and influenced by the
Dead Sea Rift Valley which area known by their earthquake potential).
d.
Geotecnical problems for road constructions: (1) 10 m deep excavations
for Road #6; (2) Road #446 deep excavations and its slope stabilities.
e.
Problems along the Medit. coast cliffs and way to improve its stability
(see paper list). Member in the Medit. Coast commity of the Bureau of Invironment.
f.
The dune fields along the Mediterranean coast- Geological surveys, including
the mapping, its mineralogical and chemical properties. Also focusing on
the relationship between the dune field and the water-table.

The Barnea Kurkar ridge- A geological survey, including mapping, its mineralogical
and chemical properties. Also focusing on the relationship between the
dune field and the water-table.

Hasharon beaches (Shfaim-Gaash)- a geological course of the cliff's phenomena
for the plained Hof HaSharon National Park (architect: S.Aaronson, Jerusalem).
